St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will be hosting its annual Apple Country Craft Fair this Saturday. Located on the corner of Peabody Row and Mammoth Road, and right next to Mack’s Apples, this Londonderry Fair is one of two held yearly by the church. Crafters from as far as Maine and Massachusetts will join in the festivities.

These juried crafters will display their handmade goods ranging from cards, jams and jellies to sewn goods, jewelry, and photography. Folk art decorations, wooden crafts, and baked goods are also among the items that can be found at the fair. The church will also raffle off a hand-made quilt created by one of its parishioners.Baked goods at the fair include pies, cakes, breads, brownies and cookies. Grilled foods will be available and will include hamburgers and hot dogs. Other food items available are popcorn, lemonade, and coffee.

Make it a day trip into Londonderry! After stopping by the craft fair, take a short walk to the Mack’s Apple Farm Stand, located right next to the church, for the annual Art in Action Event. Local artists will be creating original works of art during the day. Learn more here.

Then, take a walk through the beautiful orchards at Mack’s. Spring means apple blossoms, which only come once a year and are reaching full bloom. Take time to stop and smell the flowers this weekend in Londonderry!

Don’t miss the fair! The booths will be open from 9:30 AM until 4 PM, Saturday, May 14, 2011. Both admission and parking for the fair is FREE and the fair will be held rain or shine, so come prepared!
