Mack’s Apples in Londonderry will be hosting its second Cruise Night this Wednesday, June 22, 2011. The evening will include “hot cars, cold treats, good times” and much more! Trophies will be awarded for categories like Best in Show and People’s Choice. Visitors will have the chance to win prizes, eat great food and ice cream and listen to music while admiring classic cars.

Cruise Night will serve as a fundraiser for Moore*Mart, a local organization that sends care packages to deployed American soldiers. Visitors are encouraged to bring items for care packages to Cruise Night. Items may also be dropped off at the Farm Stand on Mammoth Road anytime!

Mack’s will host Cruise Night every fourth Wednesday of the month throughout the rest of the summer. The dates are as follows:

  • June 22, 2011
  • July 27, 2011
  • August 24, 2011

Wednesday’s weather is looking good! The forecast so far is mostly sunny in the morning but becoming mostly cloudy as the day goes on. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-70?s, with light winds and only a 30% chance of rain, creating a perfect summer evening in Londonderry.

Each Cruise Night will be held, weather permitting, from 6 PM until 8 PM at the Mack’s Farm Stand on Mammoth Road. Call the Mack’s Apples Hotline, at 603-432-3456, or follow Mack’s on Twitter, @macksapples, to learn whether the night has been cancelled. Click here for a flyer for the event.

Moore*Mart is a local organization dedicated to providing unavailable supplies to American troops overseas, both male and female. Often, these supplies are things we take for granted such as extra socks, candy, and personal hygiene items. Moore*Mart packages are sent to US troops stationed in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. US military personnel are added to the list each time a unit is deployed overseas containing NH members. Moore*Mart does its best to see that these men and women each receive a care package.
