The Londonderry United Methodist Church will host its annual outdoor worship on the Town Common next weekend. The service will begin Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 10 AM and will be followed by a barbecue lunch. Both events are open to all in the community.

“One feature of the service will be to celebrate the many different ways our members are reaching out to help others in need,” said Pastor Wesley Palmer. “During the service we will also collect donations of clean-up supplies to fill ‘Flood Buckets’ for victims of the floods along the Mississippi and elsewhere. ” The Flood Buckets will be distributed to those in need by the United Methodist Committee On Relief.

The barbecue lunch will begin at about 12 noon and will include hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs and salads. Worshipers and diners are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and tables or blankets.

Parking will be available across the street at the United Methodist Church parking lot. It promises to be an enjoyable and rewarding day for all. For more information, call the church office at 432-7083 or visit the church website.
