Hit a Grand Slam of Fruit in Londonderry This Week

Get a Grand Slam of U-Pick Fruit here in Londonderry, New Hampshire. Strawberries have been ripe for the picking for a few weeks, as have cherries and raspberries, but just open today are the blueberry fields. The fruit has ripened to big, juicy, plump berries, and is just waiting to be picked.

Sunnycrest Farm, on High Range Road, and Elwood Farm, on Elwood  Road, both offer great pick-your-own fruit. Sunnycrest opens bright and early at 7 AM, so fruit enthusiasts can pick fresh fruit and still be home in time to enjoy fruit-filled pancakes, muffins, waffles; the possibilities are endless!

If you haven’t been yet, don’t miss out. The strawberries will be gone soon, as their season is generally short. Get the kids out of the house, make it a family affair, and maybe even get your kids to eat fruit! All ages will love picking the round blueberries, listening to the “KUPLINK! KUPLANK! KUPLUNK!” as the berries hit the bottom of the bucket. But much like Sal (Blueberries for Sal), the kids will probably enjoy eating the blueberries more.

Sunnycrest is open for U-Pick from 7 AM until noon. Their blueberries and raspberries can be picked Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Strawberries and cherries can be picked everyday. Elwood is open from 8 AM until 5 PM; perfect for parents of teenagers who don’t get up before noon!
