Final Concert on the Common and Cruise Night Tonight

Aug 10, 2011 No Comments by

Tonight marks the final show for the annual Concerts on the Common event. The concert tonight will feature All Summer Long, a band described as the ultimate Beach Boys cover band. The band is comprised of seven New England musicians who have loved the Beach Boys since childhood. Their goal is to perform their music with the authenticity of the original Beach Boys recordings.

The show is open to the public and, as always, free. The concert starts at 7 PM and will be held rain or shine. Nice weather means the band will play on the bandstand on the Town Common; rain means the band will play in the High School Cafeteria.

Also, during the Concert on the Common, Mack’s Apples will be hosting its weekly Cruise Night! During the concert, visitors are welcomed to admire classic and antique cars in the parking lot of the United Methodist Church, just across from the Town Common. After the show, the cars will be moved to Mack’s Apples for more fun. This is also the final week for the Cruise Night, so don’t miss out!

Concerts On The Common is presented by the Londonderry Arts Council. Join them every Wednesday night to support local artists, and this great program. A special thank you to Mike Wenger and the LHS Math Team for providing weekly refreshments at the concerts; all proceeds go to support this great program.
