Londonderry Pumpkins and Apples Waiting to be Picked!

Apples, pumpkins, and more, oh my! Just minutes from the coast, Massachusetts, Concord, and the Lake Region, Londonderry’s four farms are heating up in the October chill! With acres of pumpkins and apples, pre-picked vegetables and fruits, and baked goods and cider, it’s easy to enjoy a local vacation! With fall colors finding their ways onto Londonderry trees, what a better setting than apple and pumpkin picking surrounded by beautiful fall trees?

This weekend is shaping up to be a beautiful one with perfect fall weather! Saturday’s temperatures are anticipated to be in the lower 60?s, with mostly sunny skies and light winds. Sunday’s weather is forecasted as being in the low 60?s as well, but under sunny skies and light winds.

Each Londonderry farm offers a different variety of fresh produce.

  • Elwood Orchards features a fun corn maze, now open at nights for a spooky time, as well as hay rides, apples, and shell beans.
  • Merril Farms has farm fresh eggs, pick-your-own apples, and yummy treats at the farm stand.
  • Sunnycrest offers fun farm animals, pumpkins, corn stalks, hay bales, and fresh apple cider at the farm stand, and delicious baked goods at the farm stand
  • Mack’s Apples U-Pick locations have acres of pumpkins, apples of different varieties, and even squash. The farm stand offers tons of picked pumpkins, corn, apples and cider!

Sick of picking? Stop by Londonderry’s fantastic playground on Mammoth Road. Surrounded by tennis courts, several baseball fields, basketball courts, and a large skate park, everyone in the family will be entertained for hours! Bring a picnic lunch and take advantage of the beautiful weather, it won’t last long!

She has fond memories of bike riding through town in the spring and summer, sledding in the winter, and apple and pumpkin picking in the fall.
