Londonderry High to Host Prism Concert

This weekend, the Londonderry High School Music Department will host its annual Prism Concert at the school’s cafeteria. There will be three performances this year, Friday, November 11, and Saturday, November 12 at 7 PM, and Sunday, November 13, 2011, at 1 PM.

The concert will be held cabaret style, where three stages will be used to feature a variety of student performances. The music will be continuous throughout the concert; as a duet of singers finish their performance on one stage, a jazz ensemble will begin a jazz standard on another, and so on.

Musical performances throughout the night will focus on popular music, jazz and light concert-fare, as well as a few classical pieces. The concert will conclude with a performances of selections from the hit Broadway musical Wicked.

Jacklynn has been a resident in Londonderry since the age of 5. She grew up in a quiet neighborhood and went through the great school system. She has fond memories of bike riding through town in the spring and summer, sledding in the winter, and apple and pumpkin picking in the fall. She now has children of her own and looks forward to raising them in the same town she enjoyed so much as a youth.
