Strawberry Fields Forever in Londonderry

The Strawberry blossoms are blooming in Londonderry fields, with the indications that the plants are going to be bearing fruit soon.  The weather has been good for the plants, the week long rain every day gave way to sun every day creating good plant and root growth for the season.

Oh and about those “fields forever,” they actually have to be rotated and replanted every few years. Welcome to Londonderry where we have two farms with many fields. See you there!

Directions and more information on these Southern New Hampshire Strawberry Farms

Sunnycrest Farm, fields open 7 AM to noon

Elwood Orchard, fields open 8 AM to 6 PM

Picking season begins at the start of June through July, depending on the weather.

Relocating to Londonderry in 1982 Steve Young was looking to find a community that was close to the high technology beltway in Massachusetts. It also needed to have farms and orchards like the one he lived on in Upstate New York near Lake Ontario. Serving on a variety of Local Boards and Commissions he understands the unique nature of Londonderry. Surrounded by a transportation infrastructure the core of Londonderry are farms and recreation.
