Local Artists Showcase Work at Coffee Shop

The warm, inviting atmosphere and the scent of coffee in the air provides an ideal environment for art enthusiasts to enjoy the artwork created by two local artists. Dana Coco and Mary Schiavoni will be showcasing their work tonight in Londonderry, thanks to Coffeeberries.

Christine Adie, owner and operator of Coffeeberries, said that Coco is a regular customer and approached Adie about hosting the event. “Dana thought our great big new wall would be perfect for his work, given their size,” she said. Coco is a large scale painter; his pieces at tonight’s gallery will be painted on interior house doors. “I have seen photos of a couple and can’t wait to see the real thing,” she added.

Schiavoni is a photographer who has had her pieces showcased at The Drinkery. “In addition to preparing her photos, Mary is busy preparing little snacks for the evening. There will also be iced coffee, tea and hot coffee for folks to enjoy,” said Adie.

Be sure to join both artists tonight, July 27, 2012, at 7 PM at Coffeeberries in the Appletree Mall at 4 Orchard View Drive. Visit them online.
