New Bookings
October 13 BEST NOT BROKEN cd release show
Best Not Broken took shape in 2007 and has quickly evolved from a New England club favorite to an original band with burgeoning regional popularity. The pop/alternative rock quintet draws influence from genres as diverse as the experiences that shape its songs. Blending rhythmic underpinnings reminiscent of Britpop, post-punk, and reggae, the band weaves melodic themes that evoke memories of 80’s synth-pop with indie-rock guitar layers that alternately rise and chime. At times delicate and at times driving, Best Not Broken’s songs abound with vibrant lyrical landscapes rooted in singer-song-writer sensibility, resulting in a sound that is at once familiar yet satisfyingly contemporary—and definitively its own.

For nearly 25 years, Acoustic Alchemy has pushed the limits of the acoustic guitar’s potential by embracing a spectrum of musical styles ranging from straightahead jazz to folk to rock to world music and beyond. In the two and a half decades since their earliest recordings – despite a tragic setback in the late 1990s and the inherent challenges of the 21st century music industry – the group has assembled and sustained a vast and loyal following that stretches well beyond their U.K. origins.

December 22 LOU GRAMM (at Pinkerton Academy)
Powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Lou Gramm can be heard each and every day, all over the world, on Radio, iPods, CD players, television commercials, music videos, and of course— jukeboxes. He has become the voice of a generation. Among the most distinctive and powerful voices to emerge from Rock and Top 40 radio, Gramm – the lead vocalist and co-writer of the multi-platinum band Foreigner – as well as a successful solo artist in his own right – remains one of the most recognizable performers in music today.
Lou Gramm, the vocalist on 20 Top 40 singles, which continue to drive sales of nearly 80 million albums worldwide, exploded onto the international music scene with Foreigner on the chart topper, “Feels Like The First Time,” in 1977. The stats are impressive – Eight Top 5 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and Five Top 5 Albums on the Billboard Top Album chart in the U.S alone! Lou Gramm is in a class by himself.
Now, nearly three decades after the debut of Foreigner and chart-topping success as a solo artist, Lou Gramm returns with a hot new band and a dynamic live show featuring Many Foreigner songs and some of his own unique brand of Rock ’n’ Roll.

Grammy nominated Julian Lage is an American jazz guitarist and composer. A child prodigy, Lage began performing in public at the age of six. At age 13 Lage performed at the 2000 Grammy Awards. His talent led him to be the subject of the 1997 Academy Award nominated documentary Jules at Eight.
Nels Cline came to prominence in the 1980s playing jazz, often in collaboration with his identical twin brother Alex Cline, a drummer. Since then, Nels has worked with a wide range of musicians in punk and alternative rock, notably Mike Watt, Thurston Moore and Wilco (the latter as a full-time member since 2004). He also leads the groups the Nels Cline Singers and Nels Cline Trio. Cline was named the 82nd greatest guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone magazine in November 2011, and the 43rd greatest guitarist of all time by Spin magazine in May 2012.
