LONDONDERRY – With many changes to health care mandates soon affecting employees and employers alike, a public forum aimed at clarifying confusion about the Affordable Health Care Act raised many questions Friday morning.

Held at Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry, the forum was sponsored by Londonderry Commerce and Visitors Center and the Hudson Chamber of Commerce and hosted by Sen. Sharon Carson.

In addition to Sen. Carson, event speakers included Bill Bald, vice president of Melcher & Prescott Insurance, Eric Stinson of Stinson Associates, and Michael Wilkey of the NH Department of insurance.

Carson said the topic was a particularly timely one as the event fell on the third anniversary of the passage of legislation many refer to as “Obamacare.”

“People ask, ‘How is this going to affect me, my business and my healthcare options?’ ” Carson said Friday morning. “As all of you know, this is really going to have an enormous impact on many people, so this is really an attempt to start spreading information.”
