Summer Concert Series Continues

This week’s Concerts on the Common in Londonderry features the Jandee Lee Porter Band, a high energy modern country band offering something old and new for all country music fans.

The Jandee Lee Porter Band is a six-piece band comprised of guitars, drums, bass, pedal steel and a female lead singer. The band plays cover material as well as original music through many generations. They’ve opened for country music artists like the Zac Brown Band, Reba McIntyre, Jo Dee Messina, Leeann Rimes, and Kellie Pickler. Their fourth album is currently set to be released this summer.

Livingston Taylor performed on the bandstand on June 12, 2013 as part of the Concerts on the Common series.

The show will be held this Wednesday, JUne 26, 2013, and is open to the public and, as always, free. The concert starts at 7 PM and will be held rain or shine. Nice weather means the band will play on the bandstand on the Town Common; rain means the band will play in the High School Cafeteria.

Concerts On The Common is presented by the Londonderry Arts Council. Join them every Wednesday night to support local artists, and this great program. Want to see who’s in the lineup for the rest of this summer? Check out photos and video of last summer’s artists? Find all this and more at the Concerts on the Common website!

Jacklynn has been a resident in Londonderry since the age of 5. She grew up in a quiet neighborhood and went through the great school system. She has fond memories of bike riding through town in the spring and summer, sledding in the winter, and apple and pumpkin picking in the fall. She now has children of her own and looks forward to raising them in the same town she enjoyed so much as a youth.
