The finishing touch to the annual Old Home Day celebration in Londonderry will be held tomorrow, Sunday, August 18, 2013, on the Town Common. The Contemporary Christian Concert has ended the five day celebration for many years and features a community church service and free picnic for people of all faiths.

The church service will begin at 11 AM and will be followed by a picnic and choir concert. Grab your blankets, chairs and families and join several of Londonderry’s churches on the Common for this fun, free event!

Participating churches this year include the Londonderry United Methodist Church, Orchard Christian Fellowship, Church of the King, Zion Christian Fellowship, Londonderry Christian Church, and Journey Church of the Nazarene.

About the author

Jacklynn has been a resident in Londonderry since the age of 5. She grew up in a quiet neighborhood and went through the great school system. She has fond memories of bike riding through town in the spring and summer, sledding in the winter, and apple and pumpkin picking in the fall. She now has children of her own and looks forward to raising them in the same town she enjoyed so much as a youth.
