The Leach Library’s ninth annual Adult Summer Reading Program will continue until Friday, August 31. If you have already registered, continue reading for a chance to win prizes. If you have not yet registered, please stop by the Reference Desk to sign up. All adult library card-holders in good standing are eligible to join the program.
This year’s theme is “Libraries Rock!” throughout which we will highlight artists and musicians, music, musicals, and musical instruments. Registrants will receive an information sheet about the program and a bingo card to be completed during the summer for a chance to win a prize. The card can be turned in either when five adjacent blocks are completed, or “blackout bingo” is achieved by completing the entire card for three extra prize entries. The first participants to register will receive a compact 5×7” Stone spiral-bound notebook as a reading incentive. Please note that quantities of reading incentives are limited and are available first come, first serve. Remember to see the staff at the Reference Desk to collect a raffle ticket for every book you read through the end of August.
Check out the materials on making your own music that will be on display this month. Resources will cover subjects such as reading music, playing an instrument, singing, and more. Pick up and complete the word search game sheet by Friday, August 31 for entry in a monthly prize drawing.
