Southern New Hampshire has a thriving art scene and Londonderry is home to many extremely gifted artists.
Below, you’ll find works done by Londonderry High School art students. Under the tutelage of art teacher Mimi Johnson, herself an accomplished artist, these young people have talent!
On May 18, 2012, the five students participated in a local “popup” art event. Called “Kajimato: The Art of Emotion” the show featured 15 emerging and established southern NH artists. Taking part in a student art competition, the five all won an opportunity to have a “break into the art business”; a two month experience as an established artist. The project includes: having an online gallery here, display space at the new cafe at Coffeeberries Gourmet Specialties in Londonderry, and art promotion by local art advocate Andy Mack Jr and by Londonderry Fine Art (owned by artist Michael James Toomy). Again, the project will run into the summer, through most of July. We encourage you to browse the art. The work is impressive!
