The Londonderry Senior Center was organized to provide programs and information to Londonderry seniors to support and promote financial and social independence. The Senior Center also provides educational classes, support groups, and many opportunities for local seniors to meet their peers.
Throughout the year, the senior center hosts a number of events. These include bake sales, barbecues, ice cream socials, and other fundraisers. The center also hosts a craft fair each November, an annual Thanksgiving Dinner presented by the Londonderry Fire Department. Members from the center also present the local Warm Homes charity each year with a donation.
Each week, the Londonderry Senior Center hosts several classes, workshops, gatherings and support groups. Seniors can enjoy yoga and exercise classes and Tai Chi. Knitters and Crocheters meet every week; BINGO is held twice a week; and Mah Jongg and Computer Clubs meet as well.
