L-3 Warrior Systems

Insight Technology Incorporated was founded in 1988 on the belief that a company that develops and produces reliable, high quality products that are attractively priced and delivered on time will gain the repeat business of its customers and be successful. Over the years, Insight has remained faithful to this guiding principle. Founded 20 years ago in the family’s home basement, the company has grown to be the recognized leader in laser aiming and illumination devices.

The U.S. Armed Forces have turned to Insight Technology for vital, life-saving equipment. Now with over 1,400 employees, Insight develops and produces highly sophisticated laser aiming and illumination devices, night vision devices, laser rangefinder systems, computerized fire control systems, thermal imaging systems and sensor fusion systems. Insight’s products are used by the United States Military, Federal law enforcement agencies and allied nations. In addition, Insight develops and produces a line of tactical illuminators for State and Local law enforcement as well as the general public.

In the summer of 2008, Insight Technology applied for, and was approved for, a 50,000 square foot expansion of its facility overlooking the airport. The expansion provided room for 200 new jobs to New Hampshire residents.

In February of 2010, L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Insight Technology Incorporated (Insight). Headquartered in New York City, L-3 Communications employs over 66,000 people worldwide and is a prime contractor in aircraft modernization and maintenance, C3ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) systems and government services. L-3 is also a leading provider of high technology products, subsystems and systems. The company reported 2009 sales of $15.6 billion. The purchase price was not disclosed and will be funded with cash on hand.
